We are implementing a project supported by the Active Citizens Fund

Thanks to the support of the Active Citizens Fund, we are starting the implementation of the project Education as a way out of poverty, which is supported by the Active Citizens Fund (ACF). ACF is part of the financial assistance of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to 15 member states of the European Union. ACF in Slovakia is managed by the Ekopolis Foundation in partnership with the Open Society Foundation and the Carpathian Foundation.

The goal of the project is to improve the position of vulnerable groups from marginalized Roma communities in the villages of Poprad and Kežmarok districts through educational activities and leisure activities of children from Roma communities.

The total budget of the project is EUR 16,667, while ACF support amounts to EUR 15,000. The project will be implemented in the period from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
